Fukushima Victims

I just turned off TV while trying to write this article.
The news programs continue to  convey devastating images and shocking reports around the clock everyday.

Imagine if you were here in Japan
Imagine if you heard a report on a man who had lost everything he had cherished...his wife, two children, a house and all family belongings.  Their memoirs.  All that he adored and loved is gone.  He cannot even go near his house searching for them because an evacuation order is issued to the residents due to high level of radiation.

Almost no rescue nor search operation has been conducted since the disaster in the area within 20km radius from Fukushima Daiichi Plant.  And our hopes to carry out the rescue operation in the area is getting thinner and thinner as the latest situation unfolds.

It's so cruel..... Imagine the devastation this man is going through.  Imagine if you were in Japan where the unthinkable is becoming a reality.

We are all wondering why.  Why did this have to happen?

I remember seeing on TV the image of a community hall where these most affected Fukushima victims were taken in on DAY 1 before the evacuation order was issued.  The building looked so ironically gorgeous and upscale as a shelter....  The communites to host nuke plants get substantial subsidies in Japan.  But it's so sad to think that no money can restore the lost lives, lost land, and simple and ordinary life they used to have.

Here are the latest tweets from the quake victims in Japan.
