I heard that the Japanese Self-Defense Forces is the only armed group in the world that saved more people than it killed. We are very proud of that. Hang in there, Jieitai (Self-Defense Forces)!
Self-Defense Forces members working to their physical and mental limits
My mom’s friend’s son is a member of Self-Defense Forces (SDF) and is now working hard trying to rescue people on the front line. They do their work stepping over dead bodies crying and thinking “this man might have been saved if we had arrived earlier.” I truly admire these members of SDF who are working to their limits physically, and mentally.

As movies and books quote, "Tough guys don't talk much."
They still remain in the background, but we can now hear and see some of their brave missions in JGSDF twitter.
